v3.4

Resume-aligned proof stack. Anti-AI voice sweep.

  • Numbers reconciled to the résumé across every surface. BetterPic now reads $1K → $270K MRR in 17 months (not 18); 4× ROI on paid (not 6× ROAS).
  • SaaSmic: $2.7M paid media at ~1.7× ROI, single-account Google Ads up to $3M/year. Corrected the spelling (capital S) sitewide.
  • Market 8: ~$35K/month SEM (the old $100K+/month was wrong). Removed the unsourced 8× SEO-leads claim; kept the 60+ tests / 40+ pages numbers.
  • StoryXpress: replaced the fuzzy '11+ landing pages optimized' with the résumé's 230% landing-page conversion growth.
  • About prose rewritten around the corrected numbers. Added Inbound Mantra to the at-a-glance facts panel.
  • Voice pass: four remaining em dashes gone. Six negative-parallelism reframes rewritten ('not X, Y' constructions were the anti-AI guide's fatal pattern).
  • Hero: dropped the 'judgment, taste, and trust' rule-of-three; kept taste as the one thing AI can't do for you.
  • 'Six rules' header on Operating Principles now correctly reads seven.
Why

The résumé is the source of truth for proof numbers. The site had drifted (some figures were rounded up, one was an outright typo of $100K/month). This pass also enforces the anti-AI writing guide the brand skill points to.

v3.3

Brand-true rewrite. New hero, origin story, accurate proof stack.

  • New hero opener: 'Hi, I'm Apoorv. I take B2B SaaS from $1M to $10M ARR.' Warmth first, promise second, prove-it arc as the lede.
  • About rebuilt around the origin story: spa business, 2018 leap, the failure year, the build-back. 60% personality, 40% credibility.
  • Work history rebuilt from the resume: BetterPic (Head of Growth → CMO 2023–Present), Saasmic, Market 8, StoryXpress, Inbound Mantra. Real dates, real metrics.
  • Proof stack swap: $2.5M+ paid media at Saasmic at ~1.7× ROI; $6 return per $1 at Market 8; +86% avg CVR across 60+ A/B tests; 8× qualified leads via SEO; 1.6× account creation lift at BetterPic; 4× ROI on performance campaigns.
  • /hire bios rewritten in three lengths with real proof and the family-spa-to-founding-team narrative.
  • Voice cleanup sitewide: 125 em dashes purged, banned words audited, negative parallelisms softened.
  • Date ranges now use en dashes (2023–Present) instead of em dashes.
Why

Aligning the site with the actual brand profile and resume. The visual work was right; the copy needed to match the Sage-Builder voice (calm authority, dry humour, no hype) and the proof needed to be verifiable.

v3.2

Sharper hero, transformation-led About, copy cuts everywhere.

  • Rewrote hero: 'The marketer SaaS founders hire when they need 10× revenue · without 10×-ing the team.'
  • Rewrote About around what changes for clients, not biography.
  • Cut Operating Principles bodies to one sentence each.
  • Trimmed AI workflow steps from 5 to 3 per workflow.
  • Added 'Who this isn't for' section to /hire.
  • Wired Vercel Analytics so we can finally see what visitors do.
Why

Applied 15 web design principles from a builder of 750+ sites. Most read as: respect the visitor's time. Cut the words. Sell the result. Repel wrong-fits.

  • Dark mode toggle (system-aware default).
  • Cmd+K command palette · search every section and page.
  • UTM hero personalization: ?from=lenny / ?from=stripe etc.
  • Custom OG image + schema.org Person markup.
  • New /uses page · daily stack across 6 categories.
  • New 'Last 90 days' scorecard section.
  • Custom 404 + favicon.

v3.0

Editorial overhaul · left the SaaS template behind.

  • Full visual rebuild · editorial paper aesthetic, Instrument Serif + Geist Sans + Geist Mono.
  • Replaced 13 SaaS-template sections with: Press strip, Now, Work, AI stack, Principles, Recommendations, LinkedIn wall, Writing, About, Contact.
  • Built dedicated /work/betterpic case study with MRR growth chart.
  • Added /hire press kit (bios, headshots, resume, FAQ).
Why

Old site was a Greenly clone with marketing-template sections (compliance-logos, g2-leader, etc.). It looked like a product, not a person. The new direction is closer to corey.co's editorial style.

More long-form context in the learnings.
